Final Backer-Developed Promotional Tiles
about 6 years ago – Sun, Feb 02, 2020 at 12:28:47 AM

Greetings! I've been asked to give everyone a look at the Backer-Developed Promotional Tiles (BDPT). They are glorious. Huge thanks to all who participated and helped refine the tiles; the rough edges have been smoothed! I now have an inferiority complex as you all have surpassed my creativity without breaking a sweat.

The unique ruleset is here. You will note there are 17 tiles above—one did not make the cut because it lacked the necessary propriety of the era (it was a great idea, but a little seedy for our setting). I have created a new concept tile, but I want it to be surprise, so I have blocked that rule text. That will make 3 Easter Eggs in the game sets that show up on your porch in late April (a realllllly good new service tile in the Upstairs, Downstairs expansion in my last open punchboard slot and a very important new gentry card in the base game).

The two winning tiles—The Babbling Brook and Parsonage—are in the Upstairs, Downstairs expansion and not part of the BDPT pack. They are worthy winners!

I expect some might want to add the BDPT to their pledges after seeing their gloriousness; pledges are now locked and it is cumbersome to unlock, recharge, and lock. I think the best way to handle anyone who wants to add these to their pledge is to PayPal me the $9 and I will manually add them to your bundle. Avoids locking/unlocking, new CC charges, etc. To do this, please email me at [email protected]. NOTE: I will not get to these emails this weekend (it is being spent on my last QA review of graphic design files...production starts early next week!).

FYI: The BDPT will be available commercially after fulfillment.

Thank you!

Obsession Recognized and Production Update
about 6 years ago – Mon, Jan 27, 2020 at 02:21:35 AM

Greetings! Late last week, Obsession received a significant honor.

The Kriegys

A Kriegy! Thank you, 3 Minute Board Games! I am going to have my son (engineer at the University of Cincinnati) 3D print me this statue. Matt, get to it!

Please share the video.

Production Update

The excellent folks at Panda have been crunching the numbers, and it looks like the storage project will set us back about 3 weeks. If all goes well, fulfillment should be happening towards the end of April.

These boxes are worth it (sorry about the prototype punchboard dust on the box—my new iPhone camera catches everything)!

Thanks!

Our Storage Solution
about 6 years ago – Wed, Jan 22, 2020 at 12:46:16 AM

Greetings! We go to production in two weeks, and I have arranged for the increased box size, linen for the storage boxes, and a more muted purple on the two large boxes. Below are three short videos that show how the new storage will work.

Obsession + Wessex

(I forget to put the Wessex family cards in their box.)

PPC Video Number Two—Does Everything Fit in the Obsession Box?
about 6 years ago – Mon, Jan 13, 2020 at 02:23:24 AM

No.   :(

But we will solve the issue. I ramble in this uncut video, no cats, but three questions. I read all comments!

First Look at PPC—Box Storage System
about 6 years ago – Thu, Jan 09, 2020 at 02:11:12 AM

Greetings! Happy New Year, and I hope everyone is well. Here is a video of a first look at the PPC (pre-production copies) of Obsession, Upstairs, Downstairs, Wessex and Backer Tiles. My Premiere Pro is acting up after an 'update' caused issues, so I am just uploading this raw video, complete with warts, no editing, incoherent rambling, and cats. I am obviously a wee bit excited about the storage system...
