Meeplesource Carriage, Constable, Reverend, and !!!

I was going to wait for my next update, but I think I should get this out there now. Some of you have the Meeplesource meeples. It would be truly distressing if you lacked a matching set of Characters meeples. Worry no more!

The second chance servants are a hoot! That Lady's Maid should be standing next to the Vicar; something scandalous is afoot! And I will bet 100 quid that footman has a flask of gin on his person.

A reminder that I take no compensation from any 3rd party providers of upgraded Obsession components or promotional items like T-shirts or inserts. I choose ethical, responsible partners who provide excellent quality, and I not only pass along their work, I am a consumer as well (I purchased my Meeplesource meeples—I have multiple Obsession copies, one which has everything 3rd party therein just so I see how things fit).

Of course, I have deep affection for our plain wooden meeples!

Obsession: Characters Expansion + Obsession Metal Coins (Kickstarter Set for October 17th)

Greetings, all! It has been 22 months since I sent the last update, and I hope Obsession with the Upstairs, Downstairs expansion has been a gem in your collection. I do not believe in abusing the privilege of this communication platform, so I will venture only this one message letting you know that a new expansion for Obsession is launching on Kickstarter October 17th. 

The Characters Expansion is a project with an enormous amount of content in a small box designed to fit inside your current Obsession 2E box (the Kickstarter will have videos showing this). The expansion adds competitive worker placement actions:

• The Reverend allows you to change your objectives
• The Constable clears unsavoury guests from your hand
• The Dowager's Manor (seen above) is filled with eccentric characters who can ensure your hand is filled with the best connections, and those connections come to you by way of the carriage

The expansion also features:

• New servants who lack references and can be a problem, but also a lifesaver
• New asymmetrical family powers
• New gentry (29) with novel favours (see a sampling below)
• A Variant Catalogue with official variants, including cooperative play
• A new universal Objective Card deck

...and more.  

One of my main objectives is to say Thank You to my past Kickstarter backers who have made Obsession the success that it is. I owe a debt to all of you, and a small down payment on that obligation will be on display during this campaign. Useful Box

Greetings! I apologize I am late with this update that follows on the previous announcement about the Useful Box. The chaos of ocean shipments and other logistics has occupied my time.

The Useful Box Is Available

Many of you have already ordered the Useful Box; for those who haven't, this email is to alert owners of this Kickstarter printing to get one soon if you want one. I have about 1000 left, and there will not be a reprint. In summary, the Useful Box contains:

• Replacement cloth bags for the ones that were poorly stitched (and which easily frayed)
• Six of every type of player aid (including a new one)
• An extra cook for the Howard family box 
• Correction of a tile typo (Housekeeper's Room) and three grammatical errors on gentry cards
• There is also some new content: an investment tile, three new gentry (including Ethel Fairchild), and new solo opponents
• The Useful Box is available HERE in the US
